Meanwhile Roman, Burgess, Antonio, Halstead, Ruzek and Atwater follow up on a lead and track down a potential suspect.

||The Intelligence unit are horrified to discover an abandoned newborn left out in the freezing weather, and are determined to bring those responsible to justice. Meanwhile, Voight is surprised to discover that his son is in town, Platt returns following her wedding and Burgess and Roman's relationship continues to develop.
||After a hooded man open fires on their patrol car, Roman is left wounded and Burgess takes off after the shooter and shoots when she finds him turning in her direction with a glimmer of silver in his hand. No gun has been found at the crime scene and the shooter is identified as a 17-year-old African American teenager. Assistant State Attorney Peter Stone, who sent Voight to prison, and his team need to collect enough evidence to indict the teen and clear Burgess, but must tread with caution on this high profile case as tensions run high.
This episode serves as a back-door pilot for the upcoming series Chicago Justice.

||While responding to a call of shots fired at a family residence, Lindsay and Halstead discover the only survivor is the youngest daughter who is traumatized. While Lindsay and Dr. Charles evaluate the girl and see if she can help identify the killer, Antonio and Olinsky look into a pyramid scheme "self-help" group for potential suspects. Meanwhile, Platt tries to make a case to Commander Crowley for Burgess and Roman to remain partners.

As both Intelligence and Voight close in on the truth, Voight's ex-partner puts him up in front of the review board for disobeying direct orders.
||Lindsay and Halstead respond to an in-progress bank robbery. As the Intelligence unit opens an investigation, Detective Hailey Upton (guest star Tracy Spiridakos) from Robbery-Homicide tries to take over, however Chief Lugo (guest star Esai Morales) grants Voight and his team ownership of the case. While investigating, Lindsay becomes involved in another in-progress robbery and a split second decision has her fatally shooting one of the perpetrators, who turn out to be a member of a teenage gang, run by an ex bank robber.
||Army of One
||The Intelligence unit investigates the murder of a man burned alive after it was streamed live on Facebook. During the investigation, the unit discovers the victim was accused of statutory rape. When a second man convicted of pedophilia is also burned alive, Olinsky goes undercover to draw out the perpetrator. Later, while the perpetrator is in custody, Lindsay assaults him.
||Fork in the Road
||While in front of the review board facing disciplinary actions, Lindsay receives a distressed call from her mother who has found her boyfriend shot. Intelligence takes on the case and quickly discovers their case is related to high school students who are overdosing, before learning that Bunny is more involved than they were first led to believe. Meanwhile, Lugo gives Voight an ultimatum regarding Lindsay, which prompts him to broker a deal with the FBI. Also, Halstead plans on proposing to Lindsay, but before he can, Lindsay accepts a job with the FBI in New York.
||Halstead is shocked when he finds out that Erin Lindsay had left Chicago without notice and on top of that receiving new partner Hailey Upton. Meanwhile, the Intelligence unit investigates an escalating gang war that involves an accidental death of a young child. Voight seeks the help from Antonio Dawson which later asks him to return to Intelligence full time. Also, Burgess returns from her leave.
||The Intelligence unit teams up with the FBI after a deadly bomb explodes during an annual street festival. The case turns personal for Burgess when an officer she helped trained goes missing after the explosion and evidence linking him to the bomb and a terrorist group mounts. Desperate to prove her friend's innocence, Burgess goes against Voight and the investigation to dig deeper on her own and discovers her friend was running his own undercover operation on the terrorist group.
||The Intelligence unit investigates a series of murders that has a personal connection with Atwater as his younger brother might be involved. Meanwhile, Upton questions Ruzek's actions following a altercation with a suspect. Also, Voight suspects that Dawson might be tipping off to the wrong people as his eye witnesses to the murders turn up dead.
||When Intelligence busts a meth lab run by gang leader Marshall Carter, they uncover a re-homing scam in which children adopted from foreign countries are abandoned, then sold online. Meanwhile, Atwater struggles with the difficult decision about whether to move his siblings Jordan and Vinessa to a safer environment outside of Chicago.
||A picture perfect family is shot dead in their home and the team goes in search of a drug dealer with a likely connection. Voight asks for the help of Vice Sergeant Sean McGrady who has an old beef with Upton. When McGrady turns up dead during the investigation, the case takes an unlikely turn.

||In the wake of several gang-related child abductions, Intelligence must race against time to find a kidnapped boy. Owing to their swiftness and military precision, the team scours the VA records and tracks the suspects to a former Army Ranger. With his previous experience as a Ranger, Halstead convinces Voight to send him undercover to try and get information from inside.
||One of Voight's friends, Congressman Scott Graynor is found passed out in his hotel room with a dead Ukranian girl. When Intelligence discovers the murder is connected to a sting and Burgess' boyfriend is working with the Feds, Burgess must choose between compromising her case or her boyfriend's case.
||The death of Judge Tommy Wells' daughter puts Intelligence on the track of a pill mill spreading into the suburbs of Chicago and the doctor enabling it. Meanwhile, Voight discovers who's been leaking information from the 21st.
