Plot[]

At the hospital, Alvin speaks to Ruby while giving her food stating that his daughter likes those, so he is addicted to them too. Ruby is surprised to find out that Alvin has a daughter, but he clarifies that he actually has two: Lexi who is her age and Michelle. Ruby asked if he’s close with them as he states its a little in between. Having gotten her to open up, Alvin asks Ruby about her time in captivity to wish you were bills how the man proceeded to brutalize her and keep her change to a wall. Alvin notices that Ruby has a bruise on her arm and asked if he did it but she clarified she do it herself because her abuse nearly cost her to forget who she was so she worked at the strength to carve in her name so she’ll always remember who she is. Ruby reveals that she did not know where she was held but did hear the sounds of the people and the kids in the background suggesting that they were near a park.

Intelligence narrows down the closest neighborhood to a park especially the route that she took. They soon get a composite of the suspect and take it to Ruby's hangouts. One of her friends confirms seeing the suspect's car and a mailman reveals that he has seen the latter and his car at a vacant house with a basement. Ruzek and Kevin are able to enter the house but find it deserted. They also take note of the smell of bleach found in a secret room in the basement with a chain on the wall. The pair realizes this is where Ruby was held, after seeing evidence that she tried to escape while realizing her abductor made sure to cover his tracks by destroying evidence.

Back at the hospital, Alvin proceeds to take out some of the pictures. At first Ruby is hesitant to look in because she sees her kidnapper in there, but Alvin tells her she has to be strong, and she identifies one of the men: his name is Drew Stommer. Drew is realtor and happens to own the same car Ruby escaped from. They note he is likely doing his job, as Alvin volunteers to handle the arrest with Kevin. The two find Drew was doing an open house to a couple before he is arresting for his crimes, though he promises to have their jobs for this humiliation.

When brought in, he confirms his encounters with Ruby but claims he had a sexual arrangement with Ruby and states she was behaving erratically, which led to the cut on his arm. He voiced he is aware of the pregnancy, stating with her occupation that this was likely, before the interview is cut. Out of disgust for his words, Hank proceeds to slap Drew across the face on his way out. ASA Steve Kot reveals there is no concrete evidence to prove it.

Lindsay says she wants to try something that might help them. Hank proceeds to visit Drew who is angry with the harassment until Hank handcuffs him. Hank then takes the protesting Drew to the Silos, where they meet with Lindsey and Madison. Madison and Drew protest their innocence until Alvin arrives with Ruby who nearly attacks Drew for her rape and abduction but is held back. They proceed to ask Madison to help them after revealing what Drew has been up to, as he protests but is silenced by Hank. Eventually, Lindsay tells Madison that her real name is Jamie and that her family misses her and Drew was manipulating her. She tells her that she is not evil like him and they need her help in saving another girl that was taken. Breaking down, she proceeds to tell them what they need to know, and they go to the house to rescue the other girl. However, it is too late, and the girl has already suffocated after being buried alive by Drew.

Alvin and Hank visit Drew and tell him that his other victim died, and Jamie has waived her right to an attorney to give a statement on him. Hank asks Drew on any other victims, but he refuses to comply and promises to sue should they hurt him in anyway in the non-wired room. Seeing that he hasn't changed, Hank looks to Alvin who discusses his time on the job and how he would feel better arresting people like Drew before he removes his gun and places it next to Drew. He remarks on how Drew said there were no cameras and makes a scenario, where Drew reached for it and threaten him before he orders him to pick it up. He aims his gun at Drew's face and appears ready to kill him, but Drew pleads with him constantly. Alvin then notes he smells his fear before he relents after Drew was reduced to crying, as Alvin tells him he is experiencing what he put Ruby and his other victims through by holding them hostage and torturing them. He sardonically remarks Drew now knows what it feels like to beg for his life, before taking his leave.

Madison talks with Dr. Charles about how she now has her life back without Drew in it and she can make a new start.

Much later, Alvin talks with Ruby and she reveals that she intends to keep her unborn child to have a good outcome of her experience. To comfort Ruby, Alvin gives her a necklace while revealing that he got shot when he found out his wife is pregnant with Lexi. However, he survived and state the necklace holds the bullet. Alvin tells her to keep it to symbolize her strength. Ruby thanks him, as she remarks he is like her father.

Adam tells Kim and Sean if they want to date then date because he's getting annoyed with their supposed mind games. Adam proceeds to walk off while Kim is upset and begins to leave and Sean goes after her saying he was only worried about the latter but before he could finish his sentence Kim kisses him and walks off.

Lindsay: It'll probably be a PG-13 deal.

Voight: Dr. Charles, appreciate you coming down.
Charles: Isn't it about time we put my prints through the palm scanner?
Voight: Yeah right after we finish your personalized parking space.

Voight: Did you know Ruby was pregnant? Seven weeks?
Stommer: Well, she is a prostitute. I imagine that's an occupational hazard.

Platt: As of eleven minutes ago I am on furlough for one week preparing for the wedding my father always dreamed he'd drop the ball on.

Lindsay: You want me to be the one to tell you that you should not date your partner?
