Plot[]

Intelligence find John Waddell, Claire's former piano teacher who previously came on to Claire and allegedly stalked her. They say he was a person of interest in her disappearance, as well as his latest sexual assaults on other women. Kim and Adam pick up John who is annoyed that he is still being harassed by the cops. At the precinct, Voight and Hailey interrogate John with him again voicing denial of any involvement with Claire's disappearance. He also claims to not know who Ally was when shown the picture of her. He also had an alibi for the time around Ally was killed being at a comedy club with his mother. Hailey asked him did he ever notice anyone suspicious following Claire when he was stalking her for a year. John tells them there was another man who often went to Claire's soccer games, and he describes him as older than him and how he had a plumber or electrician van. Hearing this, Voight asks why John didn't tell the other cops and he says he did inform the other cops about this, but they did not believe him and held a grudge against him because he and Claire had feelings for each other. When he asks how that was hard for them to get, Hailey tells them the reason why is because Claire was underage before she pins him against the wall with the desk. Scared, John barely pushes the desk off him.

Kevin soon reports that John's alibi checked out and they did research on the alleged Electrician. It also turns there was an electrician who did work on both the Meyers and Larson's homes. With this, Voight tells the squad they got the nexus, saying if the stalker was going after Claire for over a year, there's a good chance he was stalking Ally as well. He brings up how he might even be there when she fought with her parents. Kevin even states that it was the perfect time to snatch her up after she left the house. Intelligence does more digging and find Ray Lambert, who did work on both houses and happens to have the same type of car that Ramiro Lopez had described.

They investigate Ray's residence and find he is not home, but checking out the basement they soon find a secret room. Hearing a scream on the other side, they investigate and discovers Claire Meyers holding a jar covered in blood most likely from a spot where the blood is. Kim is able to calm her down and tells Claire they will evacuate her from the room. Claire then asks where her son Henry is, and Kim tells her he's not with them. Claire then has a breakdown because Ray most likely has him.

Soon the squad start covering the whole house with Rojas reporting that the neighbors have seen Henry before, and Ray had passed him off as his nephew. After talking with a devastated Claire, Kim tells her sergeant that Ray is definitely the father because of his age and all the time Claire would have been held hostage. Kevin finds a camera that could be controlled remotely, which Voight deduces that Ray is most likely already onto them. He tells Kevin to contact the tech squad to pin him down. Adam goes through the computer, and it is revealed that Ray was in contact with a man named Brad Snyder. They see from pictures that Brad has been to the house before, deducing he might be an accomplice or know something.

They travel to Brad's house where they find his son Kevin who lets them in. Upstairs Brad is wounded and bloody, the dazed Brad reveals to Hailey and Voight that Ray had attacked him after he refused to hand over money and threatened his son. After the squad tells him of Ray's actions, a horrified Brad denies any involvement or knowledge of the crimes but reveals that Ray took his ATM card and informs them what kind of car that Ray was driving when he arrived.

Kim later visits Claire in the hospital and she is now calm. Claire tells Kim that they need to find Henry soon because he is diabetic and Ray did not take along his insulin, which Henry needs to avoid going into shock. Kim then asks Claire about Ally and she reveals that Ray did in fact kill Ally because Ally was hurting Henry and Ray was protective of Henry because Henry is his son.

The squad catches up with Ray, but when he sees the cops, he starts a shootout in the store. Intelligence and other officers pursue him and gets shot by the other officer. Kim tried to get info from him but he dies of the gunshot wound before he can reveal where Henry is. However, the squad finds the boy in a trailer in a forest where Ray's car was previously seen. They find him in a diabetic coma but manage to save him and deliver him to the hospital just in time.

Henry recovers and asks where his mother is before an overjoyed Claire comes in and embraces him. Claire thanks Kim for saving Henry, while stating her experience was horrible but her son is the one good thing that came out of it and rejoices at being free of Ray.
